In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE), Mark Dean has been designated as an Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute and Professional Appraiser (P.App., AACI) by the Appraisal Institute of Canada and recognized as a Professional Agrologist (PAg) by the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
Mark Dean is also licensed to trade in real estate in Saskatchewan, actively working as a real estate agent with Hammond Realty (www.hammondrealty.ca). Mark Dean has 35 years’ experience in the real estate valuation industry, in both the public and private sectors. He has developed real estate appraisal and consulting reports on a wide range of property types, including general commercial, multi-family, industrial and special purpose properties, agricultural land and buildings as well as residential acreage, urban and resort properties. Mark is available for expropriation and partial-taking compensation assignments as well. Prior to his career in independent real estate valuation and consulting, Mark Dean worked over 17 years in commercial, agricultural and residential property tax assessment. This work included (but was not limited to) property inspection and appraisal, and development of mass appraisal models.
Mr. Dean currently specializes in agricultural land and building valuation, is fully knowledgeable regarding the Canadian System of Soil Classification, competent and experienced in mapping and valuation of farmland in Saskatchewan and has completed soil classification, mapping, assessment and single property appraisal of thousands of quarters of farmland in Saskatchewan.
Mark Dean has been qualified as an expert witness by the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench regarding agricultural valuation.
Mark was raised on a grain farm in Saskatchewan, and actively farmed prior to the formation of Precision Appraisal Services Inc. in 2005.
